sniffy! is a wireless access point scanner for Linux. It supports 802.11a/b/g and requires the Wireless Tools for Linux toolset. Currently, it is only a small shell script that scans at a given rate and outputs to a comma delimited file.
Current:
- Console-based shell script
- Parameters: Scan timing (seconds)
- Output filename
- Supports 802.11a/b/g
Planned:
- Compares found APs against list of approved APs to discover rogue devices
- Re-write in C++ with an X11 (Qt) GUI
- Live status
